Gorgeous 1950s Burgundy Saltillo Serape, with a fabulous and Large central diamond (Ojo de Dios – Eye of God).
Excellent, finely woven, pristine vintage condition.
No holes, no bleeding, no fading. Some fringe loss in one corner.
These serapes, or blankets, were made in many parts of Mexico, the city of Saltillo in the state of Coahuila being the most famous. Because of this they are known as “Saltillos.”
Measurements: 39″ x 80″ plus 7″ fringe.
